50th Anniversary – Mata

I was honored to be asked to shoot the Mata family’s group portraits and even more honored to get to document their 50th Wedding Anniversary vow renewal and reception!

The couple renewed their vows at the beautiful historic Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where they were originally married 50 years ago. The best part about this time around? My guess would be getting to renew their vows with their family, children, and grandchildren all present to witness the re-dedication of their union!

At the reception, the family was a group of dancers! The dance floor was always full… whether it was the bride dancing slow cheek to cheek with her beau, or dancing it up with the younger crowd!

I know we can all hope to be this vibrant and energetic at our 50th!

Saxon & Eros Birthday Party!

Since my grandsons birthdays are just under a month apart, my daughter decided to hold a joint party for the both of them in between their actual special days. Saxon turned 3 on September 12th, and Eros turned 1 on October 6th.

(1) Saxon got his Speed Racer cake….

(2) A smaller cake just for Eros to ‘dig’ in to!

(3) Saxon only takes one try to blow out his candles

(4) Saxon then sang “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Eros…” and blew out the candles for his little brother

(5) Eros wasn’t too sure what to do with the big hunk of food in front of him, at first…

(6) Then he dug in and figured it out….

(7) and boy did he like getting his hands all in the cake!
(8) Off tot he bathtub for Eros… look at that 2-tooth grin… what a happy birthday boy!

(9) Digging in a cake and making a mess… AND a bath… what an AWESOME birthday!!!!

(10) Saxon got to lick the icing off of Speed Racer
(11) Lots of presents for the boys to open.
(12) Only at 3 can you get sooooo excited over new underware. Well, they were speed racer and batman undies… I guess thats exciting!

(13) A Bow on the baby… Just cause we had to… lol

(14) Saxon finished opening his presents and gladly helped out with opening Eros’s…

4th Birthday Party for Princess Avalon!

My lil niece Avalon turned 4! She had her princess party at a really cool place called Oogles and Googles. It was really neat that they take care of everything – from invitations to thank you cards to all the games and party favors inbetween! They have several different “themes” you can pick from for the party.. and so lil Ms Avalon HAD to have the princess party!

We had a blast and she and all her friends had the most fun! Here are a few memories from her day.

ok – so she’s just 4.. the fact that she can spell her name on her own is quite the accomplishment… It’s just that sometimes she forgets which direction the letterd go lol
