Met up with my friend and hair stylist Sam for a day long fashion shoot! Sam is an instructor at Toni & Guy and wanted some of his fellow co-workers to get some experience at a photo shoot. So he set this up with the folks from Vintage House Clothing and the Euphorium Salon.

Thanks to Sam, Yvette, Lisa, and Chris from Eden Salon (San Antonio – Blanco/West Ave 210.541.9990) for letting some fellow photographers and myself help them photograph some of their hair and make-up styles… in some amazing outfits!The Heights (9315 N. Broadway) for letting us use their cool new lounge for the shoot! I loved the velvet couches and mirrors!

The Settee Session

So I had been waiting for a chance to get to use the new settee as a prop when my co-worker said his 16 y/o Sister was coming in for a visit. He happened to get a light pick victorian wedding dress as a ‘white elephant’ gift a while back and we decided it would look to perfect with the settee!

So he brought his sister and a friend over and I invited 17 y/o Kerstin (my friends daughter thats always up for letting me take her photos) over and we played dress-up!

Some studio stuff…

Yesterday a friend and fellow photographer opened up his studio to a few of us for a mini studio lighting workshop. Since I don’t have a studio and am just gettting into taking portraits with my new backdrop system – it was good to learn a few things from a pro!

So thanks to Sergio for the lessons and to Tina and Sara for modeling.

Hair Story 2008

I finally edited all the photos from the Hair Story 2008 hair fashion design show I shot week before last. The group I shot for were from Eden Salon on Blanco here in SA. Sam, Lisa, and Yvette were the hair designers (Sam has cut my hair for about 6 years) and Chris did the makeup. Their fantasy designs were a BIG hit with the crowd!
